“Job offer” – ISU offers young gardeners work placements in Europe
www.isu-perennials.org newly designed
The International Hardy Plant Union connects gardeners and gardening enthusiasts worldwide. The “Job offer” initiative now provides young gardeners with an overview of companies and gardens which offer job opportunities to students, trainees and young gardeners. This overview is to be further extended. So far perennial companies and gardens in Belgium, Germany, England, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Czech Republic have offered places. Interested parties can find out about production and diversity of varieties, marketing channels and specialities, accommodation and working hours at each company on a short information sheet. “We will certainly be adding more perennial gardeners who are offering job opportunities”, said Bettina Banse, managing director of the International Hardy Plant Union. She aims to enlist companies during the forthcoming summer trip to England from 6-11 August. “The ISU members appreciate the opportunity for international exchange and have had very good experiences themselves when looking beyond national borders.”
The website has been newly designed in German and English and has a clearer structure. The “Job offer” initiative can be found easily via the home page. Queries and offers can be sent to the ISU at info@isu-perennials.org.
